Welcome to by Andrea D. ® I'm thrilled to share a little bit about myself with you.

I embarked on my journey as a hairstylist in 2014 when I opened my first salon. Specializing in natural hair, I quickly developed a passion for helping those experiencing hair loss, for example my first hospice patient. This interest led me to become a certified wig maker in 2015, focusing on creating wigs to bring comfort and confidence to individuals in need.

In 2017 I broadened my skill set even further and became a Certified Wig Manufacturer now specializing
in hair loss.

In my pursuit of expanding my knowledge and skills, I obtained my Cosmetology License in 2019,
further enhancing the quality of my services. Unfortunately, 2020 brought unforeseen challenges as our salon had to close temporarily due to the COVID-19 pandemic. However, this setback inspired me to create the Silk Hair by Andrea D. ® Hair Care Product System. Inspired by my own personal experience of dealing with an inflamed, itchy scalp, thinning, and dry hair, our hair care system was designed to nourish and moisturize hair and promote healthy hair growth, for diverse hair types.

As my dedication to assisting those with hair loss deepened, I pursued additional certifications. I am proud to say that I am now a Cranial Prosthesis Specialist, specializing in medical wigs for individuals experiencing hair loss due to Chemotherapy, Alopecia and other side affects due to medications. Furthermore, I have also become a Certified Holistic Trichology Hair Loss Practitioner, allowing me to provide comprehensive hair loss solutions tailored to each client's unique needs.
